DAVID ASHBOURNE

I’ve spent the majority of my professional life as a music composer and sound designer in the games industry, while also building my own brand of music and being an active figure in my local music scene. Music has always been a huge part of who I am, but so has my love of football.

Through that passion for the game, I’ve been fortunate to play a role in the resurgence of my hometown’s Witney Town Football Club. This connection has also led me to become the bridge between our town, the club, and the incredible work of Tough To Talk.

I’ve had the privilege of organising fundraiser events for the charity, including music concerts under the banner of Sounds of Support, which combine live performances with talks and raffles. I’ve also coordinated wellness events that shine a spotlight on local mental health charities, and even arranged for a Tough To Talk stall at a music festival.

My mission is simple but vital: to reach out to my local community, raise awareness about the support that’s available, and break down the barriers that stop men from opening up about their struggles. Ultimately, I want to help reduce male suicide in our area and create a space where no one feels they have to suffer in silence.
